Food for the North Shore INN

On November 24th, North Shore High School's Key Club hosted its annual "cooking for the INN" event under the direction of community service coordinator Julia Salat. Every year, students get together the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break and prepare food to be served on Thanksgiving Day at the North Shore INN Soup Kitchen. In only an hour, students made homemade cranberry sauce, candied yams, stuffing, fresh vegetables, as well as pumpkin, cherry, blueberry, and apple pies! The food was delivered and served at the North Shore Inn on Thanksgiving Day.

The cooking event got many of the students into the holiday spirit. North Shore Key Club Member Kelly LaMattina said, "Cooking for the INN was the perfect embodiment of the spirit of Thanksgiving. Sharing and giving to others is an amazing experience, and was perfect for this time of year."
