For the fifth year in a row, Glenwood Landing Elementary School has partnered with Save the Children in an effort to help underprivileged children. With the help of district resident Penelope Mayer and faculty advisors Jen Oleksiak, Tracy Mayo and KimMarie Cortez-Riggio, the Glenwood Landing Community Service Club conducted a dance-a-thon that helped raise $2,136 for the Save The Children Foundation. The money will be used to help feed children all over the world.
Many thanks to all those who participated in this event as well as all of the other activities that were held at Glenwood Landing School to help fight hunger. The GWL Community Service Club symbolizes how kids working together can be empowered to help other kids less fortunate than themselves and provide a shining example for others to follow now and in the future.
