NS Welcomes Adam Frankel, New SC Principal
Knock, knock!
Who’s there?
Adam Frankel, the new Principal of Sea Cliff Elementary School.
Growing up Adam Frankel always knew that he wanted to work with young children. He imagined a career as a Pediatric Dentist or even an Orthodontist. It wasn’t until his senior year at Binghamton University that Mr. Frankel realized that he wanted to become a teacher.

Upon his decision, he quickly enrolled in a Masters program for Elementary Education at Hofstra University and spent many years in the classroom. Mr. Frankel said, “Teaching second grade in Plainview was one of my most memorable experiences. During those years, I gained a deeper understanding of how to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for children.” He added, “I also completed coursework in Administration at CW Post. I have since been an Assistant Principal and Principal in other districts on Long Island including my 5 years as Principal in the Central Islip School District… which have all prepared me for my new role in Sea Cliff.”
Throughout his successful career, he has had the support of his wife Michele and their two daughters Gabby, 14, and Danielle, 11. The newest member of the family is their dog Max.
At North Shore Schools, Mr. Frankel was involved in a collaborative and very thorough interviewing process that originally began with over 200 resumes, and the screening of 50 applicants for the principal position. Several rigorous interviews took place involving parents, teachers, administrators and students in the district to ultimately find the best candidate. The interview process culminated at Sea Cliff Elementary School as each of the four finalists was asked to spend a day interacting with the students, faculty, staff and parents. Adam Frankel was chosen and approved by the Board of Education to be the Principal of Sea Cliff Elementary School.
Principal Frankel said, “Coming to North Shore School District is a wonderful opportunity. I am excited about ‘entering’ a partnership with the faculty, staff, parents, students, and the Sea Cliff community.” He concluded by saying, “I will be in the building most of the summer planning and preparing for what looks to be an incredible year. Feel free to stop by the office to introduce yourself, the door is always open!”
