Glenwood Landing Fourth Graders
Assist a Family in Need

Glenwood Landing Enrichment Teacher Audra Marcantonio led a group of eager and compassionate fourth graders in a community service project to assist a Glenwood Landing family in need. Due to an unfortunate accident, a senior couple was unable to take care of their yard, one they have always taken great pride in.

A concerned neighbor had contacted Mrs. Marcantonio on behalf of the family. After hearing this news, teachers selected 16 dedicated students who volunteered their lunch/recess period to help rake leaves and assist with the yard. They arrived fully equipped with smiles on their faces and supplies including bags, rakes, and gloves!

After doing such a splendid job, the students were told that their act of kindness not only brought joy to this family but lifted their spirits through this difficult time. They graciously thanked everyone involved, especially the students, for this generous and memorable experience.
