Additionally, appropriate conduct was always required. Members were expected to behave appropriately at all times. Each member was a crucial part of the team working toward common goals, the creation of the dishes and the deeper understanding of a particular culture.
All of the dishes were prepared by Mrs. Marcantonio and her students from countries and exciting locations around the world including France, Brazil, and Thailand/Asia. Mrs. Marcantonio provided safety tips for cooking, utensils and appliances, helpful cleaning techniques, enjoyable reading materials, recipe packets, and fun vocabulary game cards! Additionally, she gave her students some information from a wonderful book which served as the inspiration for the club titled Kids Multicultural Cookbook by Deanna F. Cook.
As you will see by the photos, all of the lucky members of the Glenwood Landing Cooking Around the World Club were “Happy cooking, eating and learning together!”
