Interact Club Helps Deliver Over 40 Thanksgiving Baskets This Holiday Season 2017
Students at North Shore High School came together to help those less fortunate during Thanksgiving this year. The Interact Club under the direction of Ms. Christine Halloran organized the event which was open to the entire school. Over 40 complete baskets were donated by a number of commons groups, as well as the Life Skills students, the Buddy Club, the local Girl Scouts troop, and faculty and staff.
Over 40 complete baskets were collected and delivered by members of the Interact Club on Friday, November 17, prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. Ms. Halloran said, “Each basket included all the non-perishable elements of a Thanksgiving meal. Plus, a gift card to a local grocery store was included so that the families could purchase the perishable items.” She concluded by saying, “The students who helped deliver the baskets were greeted with smiles and hugs from the children, who were truly grateful.” Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make holiday special to all those who received these Thanksgiving baskets of love.
