Concert Chorale
Open to all students in Grades 10 through 12, as well as 9th grade boys on a select basis.  The Concert Chorale involves students from all corners of the High School social landscape working together in an artistic and creative environment.  This group tours regionally and internationally, and performs in three concerts a year at North Shore.  Weekly group lessons provide all the necessary training and skills. 
Prerequisites:  None

Women’s Ensemble
Students will sing a variety of music in beautiful harmony.  This class is truly a special place for the girls of North Shore as it provides a safe and expressive way for young women, grades 9-12, to bond and perform.  This ensemble participates in Music Department trips and performs at least three times a year.  Weekly group lessons provide all the necessary training and skills. 
Prerequisites:  None

Music Theory and History
This music course is open to all musicians who are interested in learning the science behind the art of music.  Emphasis is on music reading, composition and arranging, as well as form and analysis.  Individual projects cater to all levels of development, while class projects serve to broaden the scope of music literacy.

Prerequisite:  Involvement in any NSHS or community performing
ensemble. Serious rock/pop musicians also welcome.

Vocal Arts Studio
An in-school chorus class devoted to all types of singing, the students will study scenes from Broadway shows and operas, and learn jazz standards for a cabaret.  A culminating performance will feature many solos and ensemble numbers.  Students of all abilities are welcome.
