Trustee, was elected to the Board of Education in 2002 and served two years as Vice President and three years as President.  Amy is a business owner.
“I believe we have an obligation to provide each of our students with meaningful opportunities that allow them to explore and connect with their individual strengths and talents. By doing so, we encourage them to develop the confidence necessary to meet the challenges of the 21st century - a technologically savvy and globally competitive world.” 

Her efforts in recent years have focused on building relationships with other Nassau County school districts and coordinating efforts to seek legislative change that would allow for taxpayer relief without negatively impacting the quality of a North Shore education.

Qualifications/Committees: Serves on Construction Steering Committee, Legislative Action Committee, IEP Review Committee, Audit Committee, and Internal Auditor Sub-Committee. Prior to joining the board, Amy spent several years as a parent member for the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and as Treasurer of SEPTA. 

Amy and her husband John live in Glen Head and have two children, one currently attending NS High School and one a North Shore graduate.
