Board of Education, Vice President, Dr. Herman Berliner Vice President, was elected to the board as a Trustee in 2009. The Provost and Senior VP for Academic Affairs at Hofstra University, as well as a former Hofstra Business and School Dean and Acting Dean of the School of Education . "My goal as Vice President is to ensure that our children continue to be well educated at a time when we are much more constrained financially. As part of an outstanding well-rounded education, our students - if they are to succeed - need to excel not only at standardized tests but also need to learn the importance of integrity and compassion."
