The Community Service Opportunities For Our Students Outside Sources
The Long Island Center is a good resource center for volunteerism and community service initiatives island-wide. They provide a 12 page booklet of all organizationson Long Island where volunteers are needed and their website provides current information on volunteer organizations. Information is given students to increase their awareness of the needs of other communities and try to expand their horizons into other sites in other communities. If a student is interested I will make the call to the organization concerning the volunteer experience at that site.
