Mission Statement

The goal of the North Shore Middle School Counseling Department is to help students reach their full potential academically, explore themselves emotionally, build connections socially and develop a positive identity.

As your students’ counselors, we are here to help them overcome many of the challenges facing middle school students today. Our vision is one in which every student is motivated, develops a healthy self-esteem and feels empowered to make wise decisions.


We are here to advocate for your children throughout their three years of middle school. As a parent, you are critically important to their happiness and success. Together, we can work towards making this experience a strong and productive foundation for the future.

Academic Student Resources at NSMS
Extra Help Schedule
Extra help is an excellent source of support for student’s and should be utilized on a regular basis. All teachers are available at least twice a week and by appointment. Please see your teachers’ website for the specific days and times.
