Second Annual Turkey Trot at SC School

In November 2021, all of the Sea Cliff School K-5 learners participated the second annual SCS Turkey Trot in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday! Physical Education Teacher Ms. Megan McCormack said, “This was a fun and educational outdoor event where our students learned the history of turkey trots, pacing themselves, interval training, and how cardiovascular fitness is a lifelong practice that improves overall health.”

The K-5 Sea Cliff students happily participated at their own pace by walking with friends or challenging themselves to run around the perimeter of school building to reach the yellow finish line! Ms. McCormack added, “The older students cheered on the younger grades, empowering them to feel part of our school community. There was so much spirit as everyone was actively involved and engaged with big smiles as they participated in the second annual SCS Turkey Trot!” See you next year and Happy Thanksgiving!
