Congratulations North Shore Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit ® Scholarship Program

Principal Eric Contreras along with Director of Counseling Mr. Daniel Doherty of North Shore High School recently announced that the following five North Shore High School seniors including Kathryn Ditrano, Mark Hom, Ashna Gibbons, Kate Gilliam, and Eileen Zhao were recognized for exceptional academic promise as Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Mr. Doherty said, “Being recognized as a Commended Student is an honor given annually to outstanding students who achieve exceptional scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who took the qualifying test in 2021. Beyond their test scores, they are leaders amongst their peers, high achieving students and accomplished musicians and athletes.”

He concluded by saying, “We are so proud of their accomplishments both in and out of the classroom and look forward to hearing about all their future successes.”
