SUPT. DR. CHRIS ZUBLIONIS KICKS-OFF ANOTHER GREAT SUPERINTENDENT'S CONFERENCE DAY!

On Wed, August 27, 2025, Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis kicked-off another successful Superintendent's Conference Day welcoming hundreds of North Shore faculty and staff back to North Shore for the 2025-26 school year!

As Dr. Z spoke about the simpler times of the 1980’s, he paused to the delight of everyone in the audience, as the B Day Band made another appearance on stage! Joined by Dr. Z, the band sang, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” sung by Tears for Fears!

Dr. Z. resumed his presentation focusing on the North Shore Journey. He also gave an interactive presentation about AI (artificial intelligence) involving everyone in the audience. He highlighted important stats regarding student usage, emphasized its advances in only one year, and questioned faculty and staff about its benefits and concerns. He also addressed cell phone usage.

Dr. Z. introduced the Board of Education President, Dr. Andrea Macari, who also addressed the faculty, staff, and her fellow trustees. Later John Labbate, a current PhD Student at Columbia University and former North Shore Graduate of 2019, was introduced to a round of applause. He spoke about his years at North Shore and what he has been doing since while thanking his many teachers and coaches in the audience. While focusing on math and the sciences, John is still able to explore his passions for music and sports while undertaking many leadership roles. His presentation was titled, “Turns out they do use math in the real world” and his PhD research emphasizes, “Building a Star on Earth.”

We all look forward to welcoming our Pre-K -12th grade students back to the North Shore Schools on Tuesday, September 2, 2025! Go Vikings Go!
