North Shore High School Hosts the 22nd Annual Track and Field Invitational Photos by Chloe Connolly

On May 10, 2025, 60 school districts with 2,000+ athletics across Nassau/Suffolk counties and New York City participated in the 22nd North Shore Annual Track and Field Invitational.

Coach Neal Levy stated, “This has become the largest one-day Spring Track and Field meet on Long Island. Fortunately, the weather was great which always makes the experience better for the athletes and spectators.”

Athletes competed in18 events ranging from the 100-meter dash to the 2 mile-run. All the field events including the Pole Vault, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump were held on Stadium Field at North Shore High School. Additionally, a few specialty events were fan favorites including the racewalk and steeplechase!

Coach Levy concluded by saying, “Thank you to all the parents and student volunteers, the high school custodians, maintenance crew, security guards, athletes, and alumni that all took part in this incredible day. A big ‘thanks’ to the North Shore Schools administration and Athletics department for providing us the opportunity to host this annual event.
