North Shore Recognized as a 2026 Best Community for Music Education
Ms. Dalia Rodriguez, North Shore Schools Director of Fine and Performing Arts, said “I am proud to share that North Shore has once again been recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education.”
She continued, “This national honor is especially meaningful because it is based on a detailed application process that looks at many indicators of a strong music program, including student access and participation, course offerings, staffing, scheduling, community support, and the commitment of district leadership to music education. Receiving this recognition reflects the collective efforts of our talented and committed music teachers, along with the unwavering support of central office, building leaders, Arts Angels and The Board of Education. Thank you to all you do to help make North Shore a community where music education continues to thrive!”
North Shore High School Principal Eric Contreras said, “Congratulations to Dalia Rodriguez, our teachers, and all our students in all their artistic capacities and talents. Excellence in the arts has become so commonplace at North Shore that we are reminded that it takes ongoing, consistent work, vision, and creativity to get this accolade year after year. Congratulations to all.”
