1st Vikings Varsity Football Night Game
On September 10th, the North Shore Varsity Football team played their very first night game vs. Carle Place under the lights at North Shore High School Stadium Field!
The stadium was packed as many enthusiastic North Shore students, faculty and staff, administrators, trustees and community members came out to cheer on the Vikings and participate in this historic nighttime event! The North Shore Pep Band, Drum Line, Pulse, and Cheerleaders performed under the lights to the delight of everyone in the audience!
Congratulations to the Vikings Football team who were up for the challenge, played strong, and were victorious! The final score was 47-14.
Thank you to everyone in attendance including BOE President Dr. Andrea Macari, BOE VP Lisa Colacioppo, Interim Superintendent Dr. Tom Dolan, Assistant Superintendents Dr. Carol Ann Smyth and Mr. James Pappas, HS Principal Eric Contreras, Athletics Director Don Lang and Athletics Secretary Marge Anderson. Not to mention all the support and dedication from the students, coaches, families and friends, faculty and staff, trustees, alumni, and the community as a whole!
Thank you, North Shore Community! On February 10, 2026, the North Shore community approved a Capital Reserve Proposition for the installation of the HS Stadium Lights and removal and replacement of the HS Track. After many years, the community came together to agree to the capital project for the stadium lights to the enjoyment of the various Viking teams, school events, and community activities that will be occurring outside on the North Shore High School field now and in the future! We appreciate you all and graciously thank you!
Go Vikings!
