Moving Up Ceremony

GLENWOOD LANDING MOVING UP CEREMONY

Congratulations GWL Fifth Graders on Moving Up to the Middle School!

On Monday, June 18th, Principal Bridget Finder led a very memorable Moving Up Ceremony for all of her Glenwood Landing fifth graders. The theatre was filled with adoring family, friends and teachers who all applauded happily, as their children reminisced about their favorite memories in a more personal and creative manner to everyone’s enjoyment. Students also individually received their diplomas on stage from Principal Finder and sang beautiful songs under the direction of LiJu Cheung.

Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizzo spoke to the fifth graders and congratulated them on this wonderful accomplishment. He asked them to think about a “yet” statement over the summer and that he will ask them about it at the beginning of the new school year. Additionally, NSMS Principal Mr. Robert Dennis welcomed his incoming sixth graders and said that while many of you might have mixed feelings about today to be leaving GWL (e.g., their home for many years); everyone at the middle school is excited to meet them!

Congratulations go out to Giovanni Anselmo, Kristen Arena, Kaedan Berry, Gianna Bertolini, Julianna Betanco, Mailynn Betanco, Michael Borden, Anneliese Broccolo, Lucas Caporaso, Antonio Colella, Anthony Collura, Liam Conlon, Ava Connelly, Chloe Corn, Lukas Costello, Sofia DellaRatta, Samantha DiBenedetto, Benito DiGiuseppe, Hannah Donnelly, Gregory Fegos, Nicholas Ferrari Jr., Avery FitzPatrick, Aaron Flores, Nicolette Fradelos, Manson Ian Frame, Violet Frangopoulos, Darren Freidlin, Julianna Gaeta, Malia Gasparri, Darius Gavriel, Evan Giakoumas, Samantha Glatt, Chase Goldenberg, Nathalia Goris, Ashley Holden, Samantha Hsieh, Matthew Ilberg, Brian Kraupner, Alexandra Levin, Julianna Lopez, Louisa Ludmar, Kelly Lynch, Samantha Maler, Alec Mandell, Santino Margiotta, Lucas Meglino, Nicholas Meglino, Anthony Mele, Damon Merazzi, Sophia Ali, Gregory Nemirov, Panayi Nikolovienis-Kotsis, Paul Panagos, Shawn Paris, Maria Patetsios, James Peterson, Griffin Pinter, Leah Poku-Amanfo, Lorenzo Recine, Janessa Reyes, Diana Roper, Benjamin Ryan, Juliet Ryan-Baez, Emma Salvatori, Maya Samuels, Alexia Santiago, John Sawicki, Lucas Schimsky, Oliver Schweiger, Tristan Segal, Nora Solomon, Anthony Stanco, Nathan Strong, Anastasia Tsirakidis, Sofia Vasquez, Sylvie Ward, and Aaron Young.
