1st Place in Carpentry Competition of Area VI Regional Association of SkillsUSA & Gold in NY State SkillsUSA Conference
For the second year in a row, Henry Mahnken placed 1st in the Carpentry Competition of the Area VI Regional Association of SkillsUSA held at Suffolk Community College.
Henry was invited to compete in the New York State Skills USA Conference. Henry and his classmates from the Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career and Technical Education Center traveled to Syracuse on April 23rd for the three-day event. Henry won the gold medal for his outstanding carpentry work!
As a first-place finisher, Henry is invited to attend the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia the last week in June. Henry is delighted to be going to Atlanta to represent his state in this national contest.
